"What we're trying to do is spread the word that there are soldiers out there who may not have exactly what you're looking for but need a transition," said Col. Mike Teague, district commander for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District.
Wounded soldiers transfer to a Warrior Transition Unit to continue their recovery after leaving intensive treatment. The soldiers are still on active duty and receiving active duty while in the unit.
The unit provides them with employment on the base while they continue that recovery.
